Seasons in the Northern Hemisphere
seasons
Seasons are caused by the Earth's axis, which is tilted at 23.5 degrees from vertical.  In the summer, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the sun, so there is more daylight, and also warmer temperatures.  In the winter,
the Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, so there is less daylight and cooler temperatures.
