Saturn is famous for its huge rings.  There appear to be just a few large rings, but these rings are actually made up of thousands of smaller rings. Saturn's rings are not solid, they are composed of millions of pieces of rock, ice, and dust.  The rings are very wide, almost 170 thousand miles across, but they are only a few miles thick.
