Problem:  MathTutor5, with some versions of Windows, may produce a GPF error after entering the password. 

Solution:  This is related to Windows setup. To resolve this issue, follow these steps in order to set your desktop scheme to the standard windows look. From the Start Menu, select Settings->Control Panel->Display. In the Display dialog, click Appearance. Click the first drop box, labeled Scheme. Choose Windows Standard. Click Ok. Another solution that may work with some schemes is to set the desktop resolution to at least 800x600.

Word Search

Question:  When creating of the puzzle, after changing the font size, the program locks up with 0% progress.  What’s happening?

Solution:  This was an error and has been fixed.  Download the following Find-A-Word.exe and save it to the directory you installed to. For example, C:\Word Games\Find-A-Word is the default directory. Answer yes when prompted to overwrite the file.

Question:  How do I stop the program when the error described above occurs?

Solution:  There are two ways to end the program.  The first way is to press CTRL-ALT-DEL.  This will bring up a Close Program dialog box.  Select Find-A-Word and click the End Task button.  The second way is to right click the icon on the Windows 95 task bar.  This will bring up a menu.  Select close.

Question:  Is there a new version available with more features?

Answer:  Yes, a new version with more bells and whistles can be downloaded.  Download the CrossWords.exe and replace the C:\Word Games\CrossWords\CrossWords.exe file with the new file.
